Who are “Champions of Conservation?” They are people like you!
They are individuals, businesses and corporations that believe in a healthy environment, a sustainable economy, and people working together to find common solutions to natural resource issues in the Lakeshore Basin of northeastern Wisconsin. Champions of Conservation support community efforts and creative regional collaborations for conservation and stewardship, by involving all stakeholders in constructive dialog, raising awareness and carrying out meaningful actions.

We Need Your Support
Join us as we support projects that:
- Fight the spread of purple loosestrife.
- Monitor the Ahnapee Watershed to pinpoint possible sources of pollution.
- Host a distinguished lecture series throughout the Lakeshore Basin.
- Create an educational foot trail leading to a river and marshes.
- Help farmers and town boards find better ways to protect our groundwater.
These are a few of the 26 projects here in the Lakeshore Basin that received funding from the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership in 2004 and 2005.
We know that the best solutions to community problems start in our own neighborhoods. The Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership, with its local focus and grants ranging from $500 to $5,000, assures that the most inspired of environmental ideas from our communities become part of the solution.
We do the legwork, the due diligence and the assessment, so that you can be assured that donated dollars are being used wisely and effectively.
LNRP’s 2007 grant cycle is about to begin. We look forward to funding a host of worthwhile projects that will preserve
and improve the environment right here in our communities.
We are a unique citizen initiative that promotes and facilitates local community efforts to preserve and improve our environment. Our grant program is a particularly successful component of this effort because:
- Local money fosters creative local ideas and
- Proposals submitted by local organizations are reviewed by a group of local experts and members of each community we called our Grant Advisory Teams (GATs). These Teams work with the organizations to improve their proposals and ensure successful projects.

Your contribution will immediately help LNRP maintain the community grant program and help us continue funding the best project proposals possible.
Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership is a 501c3 non-profit. Your contributions are tax-deductible. 90% of your donation will go directly to the Environmental Solutions Fund You will make a positive environmental impact in our community! The remaining 10% will be retained for monitoring and evaluating the outcome of the projects
