Alex Halverson wants to be a fighter for our natural resources. He grew up in Milwaukee, and from an early age, his passion for understanding and conserving our water, plants, and wildlife was instilled in him. He has allowed this passion to take him to various places in his career: an undergraduate degree in wildlife conservation from the University of Minnesota; a graduate degree in environmental science from the University of Colorado; studying elephants in Tanzania, sea turtles in the Caribbean, and whitetail deer in Minnesota; leading environmental education programs at various institutions; and birdwatching anywhere he can. He is currently an environmental planner for GRAEF, a Milwaukee-based engineering firm, where he helps manage various conservation projects. In addition, Alex has utilized his MBA by managing the firm's strategic planning initiatives for the previous several years. His dog, Fiona, is as avid about local wildlife (especially the ones with fluffy tails) as he is.
