Dan Scheiman joins the LNRP team with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit conservation sector. Eighteen of those years were with the National Audubon Society in the Arkansas state office where, among many other projects, he led a partnership to improve the quality of Little Rock's watershed. In 2023, Dan moved to beautiful Door County and worked at The Ridges Sanctuary.

Dan has a B.S. from Cornell University, an M.S. from Eastern Illinois University, and a Ph.D. from Purdue University, all in natural resources with an emphasis on birds. He likes connecting people to nature through birds.

He and his wife enjoy birding, butterflying, and beachcombing. The Lake Michigan shoreline offers opportunities to do all three, so he's excited to be helping communities protect those places we all love.
