Judy Hartl

BOARD MEMBER

Representing Friends of Stony Brook

Judy Hartl lives in Calumet County and serves on the LNRP Board of Directors as a representative from the Friends of Stony Brook (FOSB) Board. She and her husband have been Water Action Volunteers for more than eight years and monitor the Killsnake River in Calumet County. For five years, Judy represented her county district on the Calumet County Board. As part of her public service, she served on the Land and Water Committee and attended many trainings about land use and conservation issues. She especially enjoyed the sessions/conferences sponsored by the Wisconsin Land and Water Association. Topics of interest to Judy include soil health, impacts of agriculture practices on the watershed, water quality, and climate change mitigation. The volunteering projects she does with FOSB are informed by these past experiences and the knowledge she has gained from listening to and learning from many conservation experts and activists. Judy is committed to being a thoughtful and engaged Board Director and functions as a liaison between LNRP and FOSB.
