Katie moved to Door County to pursue a career in environmental non-profit. She studied at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, focusing on aquatic sciences and evolutionary biology. Prior to moving to Door County, Katie took her passion for protecting and preserving unique and vulnerable ecosystems to Madagascar where she studied coral reef degradation and lemur social behaviors. Since moving to Door County, Katie has worked as the Program Manager at The Ridges Sanctuary, spending the majority of her time exploring the beauty of the region. Katie came to the Climate Change Coalition of Door County in February of 2016. She has been extremely passionate about communicating with and educating the community on solutions we can take to fight against Climate Change. Katie is excited to continue her community outreach with the help of LNRP.
