Kewaunee Marina
The Kewaunee Marina in need of upgrades. A plan is in place to add new docks and resurface the parking lot. To improve water quality, green infrastructure will be added to the new parking lot and surrounding areas. Finally, the marina will be dredged so that it can accommodate larger vessels.
Marshland Walk
The Marshland Walk, which boarders the Kewaunee River and the City Campground, was damaged by ice and flooding. Kewaunee intends to rebuild and extend the boardwalk, improving the community connectivity. Improving the Marshland Walk will also have benefits to habitat for native fish and birds.
City Campground and Boat Launch
In order to address flooding issues moving forward, the City Campground will be raised. There are also other design improvements to the campground to improve recreational experience and public safety. In addition to the parking lot work, the boat launch will have an added boat cleaning station, and new fish cleaning station.
