Spring Momentum Across the Lakeshore!

With fresh energy and enthusiasm for 2025, partner groups across the Lakeshore region have sprung into action—hosting impactful events and launching programs that improve and preserve our shared waters. In Ozaukee County, the Storm Drain Mural Project is making a splash by creatively raising awareness about stormwater pollution and its effects on Lake Michigan’s health. Along the Sheboygan shoreline, a collaborative beach cleanup brought together over 50 dedicated volunteers to remove litter and debris before it could reach the lake. Plans are underway for a Manitowoc River Basin-wide cleanup, with more than 10 sites identified to improve local watersheds’ health. And up north, our partners are wrapping up their Big Plant event and charging ahead with the community composting initiative aimed at building healthier, more sustainable communities.
