Sheboygan:
Sheboygan Restoration Projects
Northern Bluff Stabilization Project
In partnership with the Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, Stantec, and the City of Sheboygan, LNRP has been working to bring resiliency back to the shore of Lake Michigan. While still in the preliminary steps of design, this is an ongoing project, and more information will be released in the future as design concepts are solidified.
North Point Bluff
Friends of North Point has partnered with LNRP to transform this bluff go from an invasive-filled hillside into a thriving native plant community.
By removing invasive species, revegetating with native trees and plants, and hosting educational programs, the Friends of North Point — together with LNRP, Stantec, and the City of Sheboygan — have taken the bluff from an overgrown, invasive-dominated landscape into a thriving native bluff habitat. The work has expanded and improved habitat for wildlife and restored 6.25 acres of steep bluff lands along the Sheboygan shoreline directly across from Lake Michigan.
